Okay, so I was slacking off and playing a video game from 3-4 on Friday. So here are my observations from “Fate: Undiscovered Realms”.
I am sitting in a chair at a messy desk. Immediately in front of me is an Orvis catalog open to pages 22 and 23. It has pictures of adorable puppies and dogs enjoying themselves or sleeping in wooden pet crates.
Below that is a flyer for an upcoming lecture by Episcopal Bishop V. Gene Robinson of New Hampshire. He’ll be speaking about “Why Religion Matters in the Quest for Gay Civil Rights” at the Tull Auditorium at 7:30 on March 30th (reception to follow).
To my left is an HP LaserJet 1012 printer. Assorted pen holders, staplers, and office knick knacks lie about. And that’s all I have to say about that.
My dog, Wellstone, sits chewing on a toy by his pillow on the floor to my right.
There is a computer monitor on the desktop (with accoutrements in appropriate locations). The rest is a description of what I see on the monitor beginning at 3:15 (the time after writing the above):
3:15—Spoke with Muttrole. He asked me to destroy Bolmazar the Shunned (the Ruby Crystal Crab) on level 5 of the dungeon and retrieve Toothripper’s Horse’s Mage’s Garment of Bronze. For this, he will award me with a Mage’s Garment the Lizard, 2935 Gold, 1096 Experience, and 287 Fame.
3:21 (Hey! It takes a while to transcribe!)—I accept the task.
3:22—Met with Ugglore the Shaman (a huge but friendly beast). He is selling a vast array of gems and potions and magical items. I am looking for one more superior gem to round out my weapon’s boosts. This might take a little time to decide.
3:31—After much back and forth, I think I have seen something better elsewhere and decide to look around. I go to Zack Stormbringer, who sells me chain mail gloves with an open socket. I don’t know if this is the best thing to buy, but I’ve got a little money to burn through, so what the heck.
3:33—I speak with Crythos the Enchanter and spend 1000 Gold to enchant the new chain mail gloves (1% strength bonus—not bad).
3:39—Did a lot more running around buying, selling, and equipping. Too boring to go into.
3:51—Entered the portal to go back into the dungeon at level 4.
3:53—Defeated an ice creature with one hit. I’m looking for the stairway down to the 5th level.
3:56—Found the stairs. Apparently, I took the scenic route. Descended.
3:58—Defeated four creatures rather easily. My pet dog (and sidekick) levels up. I picked up several items along the way.
4:00—Looks like that’s it. I’ll finish up this task and get to studying.
