3 o’clock
I am at a coffee shop with Brian. I am drinking coffee and eating a peppermint and chocolate dipped biscotti.
I have this lingering headache and crick in my neck. The pain in my head is connected to the pain in my neck.
It is starting to drizzle outside.
I am trying to read Richard Brautigan’s book An Unfortunate Woman. I like this book better than his other ones that I’ve started to read. I have only read about a paragraph since being here cos I am easily distracted by movement. I am watching the cars stop and go at the intersection just outside. The man sitting at the table beside me has eyebrows like Prince. People are walking on the sidewalks. Brian is sitting across from me.
We are leaving the coffee shop and now the sun has come out and it’s nice and bright.
We are walking around South Philly, in Little Italy, on streets I’ve never been on before.
