simultaneous mass existence

3pm – in the middle of a meeting with Marjorie about her trip to Bolivia and how to design the worship service for Compassion Sunday – April 26

3:17pm – I just got my meeting interrupted for the third time by a phone call.  This call was from Youth on Mission.  I discussed YUMs upcoming trip to Morehead City and what mission projects we would do down there.  Today it is only in the mid 60s in North Carolina.  They got more snow on the beach than we did in PA this year.

3:22pm – Return to my meeting with Marjorie.

3:36pm – Begin reviewing the movie footage from Marjorie’s trip.  She took some really cool video of the children from Bolivia greeting their sponsors back here at St. Thomas.

3:57pm – Wrapping up my meeting with Marjorie with a discussion of how to use as many media items as possible in the service on 4/26.  The conclusion: use the greeting videos before the announcements.  Create three slide shows: 1) to go with the Children’s Sermon of Jesus Loves Me in Spanish; 2) to go with Marjorie’s talk that she will outline while on vacation; and 3) to go with music during the middle of the service – this is so that we can use slides that do not fit in with the other two shows.

4:07pm – Marjorie leaves.  I am not going to make it to Peter’s Tennis match today as he probably already played.

(All times are approximate as I could not journal during the meeting.  That would have been rude to Marjorie.)
